“It Take’s Both Rain and Sunshine To Make A Rainbow”  My philosophy…..

This is a personal blog. It will be personal in that I will be writing more for myself than to please readers, but if I please some of you along the way, all the better. I will use it to work through some ideas about life and I am going to write about things I care about.

In a way, I am returning to blogging’s personal roots. But on the internet, the personal is very public, which is what originally made blogging interesting. Some of that got lost along the way as blogs became news sites.

I am a very up beat and positive person that doesn’t look at the glass as half empty or half full, rather thankful that I have a glass.  I also understand that life throws curve balls at us, so it is not perfect.  Thus, It Take’s Both Rain and Sunshine to Make a Rainbow.  The Rainbow being Life….

Smiles and Laughter are a way of life for me.  They both, can get you through life’s up’s and down’s.  No better way than to laugh during those bad times, Laughter will get you through it.  Even if it’s laughing at yourself.

A Native Oregonian since 1956 and truly believe that Oregon is God’s Country, I stand in Awe.  From the Pacific Ocean, Oregon Sand Dunes and  Beaches, The Cascade Mountains, Agriculture of the Willamette Valley, to the Oregon High Desert I feel blessed to live in the Pacific Northwest at the end of Oregon Trail.  So on my journey down “The Road Less Traveled” I have Oregon Smiles…..

Oregon Smiles …. with Franny!

  7. Hi Franny, it is the Sunshine that reflects on the water that creates a Rainbow why do we need rain, to water the earth but Storms are not pleasant and we need protection from them, which is the same in our lives God does not cause the Storms meaning hardship but He is with us when we go through them. If we do not have Him in our lives, all we have is the Storms without the Rainbow, if the Sun does not come up nor does the Rainbow the water soaks into the earth and there is no reflection.

Lamentations 3: 33 For He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

    Christian Love Anne.
